Ryan Vickers, born on September 24, 1998, in Thetford, Norfolk, is an English motorcycle racer. He has made a significant impact in the British Superbike Championship (BSB). Vickers’ career in motorsports has been marked by significant achievements and strategic decisions that have shaped his journey in the sport.
Vickers began his career club racing before moving into the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship, a Bennetts BSB support class. In 2017 he finished eighth in the standings in a season that included a victory at Brands Hatch.
Making his debut with Lee Hardy Racing in 2019, following a substantial leap to BSB straight from the Superstock 600 Championship, he won in 2018 aged 19. Vickers spent three seasons on Kawasaki machinery – achieving seven top six results – before joining FHO Racing BMW in 2022. He scored a best result of eighth place en route to 17th in the standings.
In a significant development for his career, Vickers will be riding in the British Superbikes for the OMG Racing Yamaha team in the 2023 season. This move marks a new chapter in Vickers’ career, as he transitions to the championship-winning Yamaha R1.
